In-House Software

Our experienced Design & Development Group use a sophisticated in-house developed software to optimise the heat exchangers to our customers specific requirements.

This software uses a numerical model that is based on the epsilon-NTU method, which is a commonly used calculation model for compact plate heat exchangers. Extensive laboratory studies have been performed on the heat exchanger performance and pressure drop to verify the results from the software.

The MonoBlock™ heat exchangers are optimised according to the customers specific requirements, i.e. weight, performance (temperature efficiency and transferred heat), physical dimensions/shape and life cycle costs.

In-house heat exchanger software features:

  • Optimisation with respect to weight, volume, performance, pressure drop etc.
  • Gas-to-gas, liquid-to-gas and liquid-to-liquid applications
  • Two-phase flow with gas mixtures (e.g. humid air and condensation)

Design alternatives:

  • Cross flow heat exchanger core
  • Counter flow heat exchanger core
  • Core with framework
  • Core with housing
